Sweep is proud to announce Sweep School for Finance, a training module designed to train users to deploy effective decarbonization strategies across their investments.
Part of Sweep’s climate training platform launched in April, Sweep School for Finance empowers platform users to take the lead in their firm’s decarbonization journey. The training program dives into the details of financed emissions, including data quality checks, carbon intensity measurements, and sustainability disclosures.
“Sweep’s emission monitoring dashboards make it easy for asset managers to communicate and answer questions from our investors about financed emissions, carbon intensity, and data quality. The software enables us to filter by branch, by fund, or by company, which will be useful to simulate different reduction scenarios,” says Emilie Huyghues Despointes, ESG Officer, MV Credit.
One of the first private credit firms established in Europe, MV Credit uses Sweep to measure carbon emissions across its portfolios. The team onboarded with Sweep School for Finance to master the platform’s full capacity and manage hard-to-track investment emissions in a more efficient way. These emissions can be over 700 times larger than those from direct operations and are one of the key challenges of carbon management.
“Sweep School for Finance offers practical resources on the different regulations and reporting frameworks, concretely breaking down how they impact asset managers. Even if these are elements we were already aware of, a timely reminder is always helpful. The guidance on how to navigate Sweep for Finance [Sweep's finance module] is clear and intuitive,” says Emilie Huyghues Despointes, ESG Officer, MV Credit.
Sweep works with private equity and venture capital firms like Coatue, Mirova, and Eurozeo to drive sustainability across their investments. It recently launched a powerful ESG tool that measures and reports data in accordance with extra-financial reporting demands of stakeholders (LPs, regulators).
